I'm just wondering what the point of those silent automated marketing calls is? I'm not talking about the calls that automatically launch into sales promo as soon as you pick them up – I mean the weird creepy ones where nobody says a word, then a robotic voice suddenly says “goodbye” and hangs up. Just why really? Is sky-net taking over?
